For many years, an optician’s practice has been a fixture here. In 2006, Wendy established her own practice as Wendy Diddams Optometrist. Her unwavering commitment and passion swiftly earned her an outstanding reputation in the local community and beyond. As Wendy gradually retired, she entrusted the practice to Ashley, Alex and Vicky who are excited to continue the practice’s journey.

We specialise in family eye care. Our team of optometrists bring extensive experience and additional qualifications in various areas of optometery including paediatric eyecare, medical retina and independent prescribing. Whether you’re a returning patient or visiting us for the first time, expect a warm welcome and professional service from our team. Vicky

Optometrist Director

Vicky has experience of both high street and hospital optometry. Prior to joining the practice, she worked as a paediatric optometrist at a local hospital eye department. She holds the College of Optometrists Professional Certificate in Medical Retina and is working toward her independent prescribing qualification.

Alex

Optometrist Director

Alex is our independent prescribing optometrist. Her qualification allows her to prescribe medication for various eye conditions – often bypassing the need for a doctor’s referral. She is a natural communicator and has a keen interest in myopia management.

Ashley

Dispensing Optician Director

Ashley assumes the role of captain in our day-to-day operations. You’ll find him engaging with patients, discussing our meticulously curated frame selection and ensuring a seamless experience for everyone.

Sarah

Optometrist

Sarah brings a wealth of experience from high street optometry and she thrives on solving complex eye problems. Her qualifications include the College of Optometrists Professional Certificate in Medical Retina

Optometrist

Fiona’s passion lies in paediatrics, particularly Down’s syndrome eyecare and myopia management. She has completed the College of Optometrists Professional Certificate in Paediatric Eyecare
